More findings on the 1403 issue when fw load fails (bug #9)

Hi All

Brandon Dell was kind enough to do some testing using the compat-wimax
tree, and here is what he found:
        
        2.6.29:                                SUCCESS
        2.6.29 + compat-wimax (as of 11/30)    FAIL
        2.6.31                                 FAIL
        2.6.31 + compat-wimax (as of 11/30)    FAIL
        
        
Which truly means that something we do in the driver is causing the
issue. On the bright side, bisecting the  compat-wimax tree is way
easier, so I am hoping we can get more information from that.

OTOH, I am going to be mostly offline for a few days, but I'll try to
keep an eye on how things are going.
